Online Malachi Study by Precept Ministries

Malachi Precept Upon Precept StudyVery exciting news today!  Precept Ministries International will be piloting their new Malachi Precept Upon Precept study over the next few weeks, and you can join in online!

The course begins Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time and is led by Pete De Lacy, author and Chief Operating Officer of Precept Ministries International.  (If you cannot attend the 2:00 PM online meeting, have no fear!  Each week’s meeting will be recorded and posted online to be viewed at your convenience.  See below for details.)

To participate:

  • Then join the class discussion each week online.  This online discussion is available “live” to the first one hundred participants each Thursday at 2:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time (via WebEx).  However, it will also be recorded, which means you can watch it at anytime thereafter — even multiple times.  There will be a total of four online meetings:  the orientation and three lesson discussions.
  • There will also be a 15-minute lecture video each week by Pete De Lacy to provide additional information and insights.  (These videos will be posted at the Malachi Pilot site along with the recorded online discussions.)
  • Finally, you will be able to post comments and questions online throughout the week.

This is an exciting opportunity!  Don’t miss out!  Order your study manual right away.  Precept Upon Precept courses utilize the inductive Bible study method, which is a wonderful way to discover the truths of God’s word for yourself.  Join with students of the Bible from around the world on January 13, 2011 for class orientation to learn more about this proven Bible study method.

The following is an update from the Malachi Pilot site posted January 12, 2011 regarding the weekly online discussion (emphasis added):

pi•lot [pahy-luht]
1. a person duly qualified to steer ships into or out of a harbor or through certain difficult waters.
2. a guide or leader: the pilot of the expedition.
3. a preliminary or experimental trial or test.

In true form, we begin our pilot with a small change of course. While we had hoped to allow 100 individuals to “join” our class discussion live, due to some technical difficulties, we will have to postpone this feature of our online study. Please look for a recorded class discussion added to this blog site on Friday at noon.

This week’s discussion is the class orientation during which I will talk about how to complete your homework. My 15-minute lecture is on the same topic.

Going forward, my lectures will expound upon your homework. Welcome to the adventure. I all look forward to studying God’s Word with you online!
– Pete

Hi Pete – I purchased the Bible study on Malachi; however, did not have time to join online while the study was going on. Is there a way you can make the wordpress blog with the videos available to me even now so that I can do the study?

    Thank you!

    Tammie Thompson

  2. Hi, Tammie. The Malachi online resources were available for a few weeks after the course was completed, but they have since been closed in preparation for the next online study. Precept might be willing to make those videos available to you. You would need to contact them here.

  3. Hi – Like Tammi, I purchased the study but was unable to keep up with the teaching videos. I saw the
first one, and am ready for the rest! I tried accessing it through WordPress, but was unable to do so. Can you help?

  4. Hi, Christy. I asked Precept about Pete De Lacy’s Malachi pilot videos. They responded that the videos are no longer available on the website, but they will soon be available for purchase through the Precept Store.
